According to Taylor-Joy the removal was extremely difficult for her and she was unable to master English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to when she switched from Northlands. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's plays. At 16, she quit school to focus in acting full-time. As a child, Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to work as an actress. her goals were realized when she got a modeling opportunity from Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
